Individualized Home Support is designed to help people with mental disabilities, mental health conditions or chronic illnesses to gain independence and self-sufficiency within the community. HIS workers are caregivers that are able to teach individuals life skills, problem-solving, and coping skills to enrich the quality of life of individuals with disabilities to live independently in the community.
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Perform light homemaking assistance, including help with personal laundry, meal preparation, and food shopping.
- Home management
- Be a companionship.
- Assist with the maintenance of a safe physical environment.
Requirements
- 18 years or older.
- Have a reliable source of transportation to and from the client’s home.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work autonomously in a variety of locations.
- Demonstrated time management skills.
